Pair of Porcelain Apothecary Jars

About the Item

This a pair of wide cylindrical white porcelain apothecary lidded jars. They are hand painted and decorated with some laurel’s branches in the front. The lids are shaped as doctoral tams with a flatted orbit finial. They are also adorned with some gilded bands, although in some areas are faded. Each one of them has a scroll shaped label with the Latin name that identifies its content. Diascord means dried herbs and Amand:Ameres is bitter almond. They are probably made in France.
